The unique Solar Combi tank offers an efficient SOLAR-POWER HOME HEATING package that includes a 2 in 1 domestic hot water storage and buffer tank utilizing solar energy for both SOLAR HOT WATER preparation and SPACE HEATING support.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The top 1/3 of the tank is reserved for the domestic hot water needs of the home.  As the middle of the tank temperature reaches 110 degrees, the system controller will open the three way diverter valve allowing the water in the tank to circulate through a low temperature heating system such as radiant floor loops or a *low temperature baseboard system. Once the middle of tank temperature drops below 110 degrees, the system controller closes the three way diverter valve allowing the traditional heating system to take on the home heating duty.

*Traditional baseboard heating systems require higher temperatures in the 160 degree range and would deplete the excess heat in the Combi tank too quickly for it to be effective.

This Wagner Solar, Combi system will provide the home owner with 70% of their domestic hot water year round; it is also designed to handle up to 30% of the home heating load and features the 212 gallon Combi tank
